Rita K. Drew

Fiscal Officer Drew is serving her first term as Bazetta Township’s Fiscal Officer. She was appointed to the position in May 2009. She was elected to the unexpired term in November 2009 and began her elected term on April 1, 2010.

Fiscal Officer Drew was born and raised in Geneva, Ohio in a family with a proud history of civil and military service. She lived in the Hartford, Baltimore, and Cleveland areas before settling in Bazetta Township in 2004. She is an alumna of Geneva High School. She attended the University of Hartford and the University of Akron where she earned a BS in Business Management and MBAs in International Business and Management.

Prior to beginning her term as a public official, Fiscal Officer Drew worked in both the private and non-profit sectors. She has been the President of Arcady Sales & Consulting LLC since 2005 and will soon be opening Ace Equipment North, both of which are located in Cortland. She spent 15 years as Retail Executive and Management Trainer with several nationally known retailers. She was also a Clerk in the University of Hartford’s Alumni House, focusing on fund raising initiatives, for 4 years.

Fiscal Officer Drew has been involved with Lake Erie International Model United Nations (LEIMUN) and its predecessor organization at Kent State University – Ashtabula Campus (KSUAC-MUNC) for nearly 25 years. She served two terms (six years) on LEIMUN’s Board of Trustees. Besides being a Trustee, she served as LEIMUN’s President for one year, Chief Financial Officer for three years, Chief Administrative Officer for five years, Director of Fund Raising for one year, and Secretary-General for one year. In addition, she either chaired or served on numerous committees, including Senior Staff, Advisory Council, Governance, Handbook Revision, Bylaws Revision, Rules Revision, and 30th Anniversary. She was also instrumental in launching LEIMUN’s Scholarship Fund. In 2008, she received the Call to Service Award from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation for her years of volunteer service to these educational non-profit organizations.

Fiscal Officer Drew is avid music fan, known for traveling to multiple cities, states, and countries to see some of her favorite groups. She is also a die-hard Cleveland Browns and Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
